ICON Gallery presents ICON IOWA INVITATIONAL 2011, a group show of six regional artists. The show opens on the first Friday Art Walk, December 2nd, 6:30 to 10:00pm and continues through January 21st.

"This year I have selected six artists that I have wanted to spotlight," says ICON Director Bill Teeple, "They have each been on my short list for some time now. I think everyone will enjoy the diversity of this show."

ICON is introducing the magnificent cyanotype photo images of sea animals by Anna Sica in indigo blue ink on paper. Fairfield’s David Ross will present his stunning computer designed digital images. Diane Naylor presents The Compassion Series, recently shown in Cedar Rapids, Florida and Colorado.

Mary Koenen Clausen of Swisher Iowa is highly regarded throughout the state and shows her oil and mixed media paintings regularly at one of the top galleries in Des Moines. Packwood painter and sculptor Michael Rutherford will share his minimalist wall sculptures made from strips of canvas.

Rounding out the exhibit, from Galesburg, Illinois, is Rob Reed with his sculptural works ranging from modernist to enigmatic.

ICON Gallery is located at 58 N. Main Street, Fairfield. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday noon to 4:00, Saturday 1 to 4, and by appointment. For more information call 641 919 6252 or email
